Each class is a separate, very intimate journey into parts of myself I had either abandoned, am struggling with, or didn’t even recognize were there (like how my body is the first part of me to instantly inform me that I’m about to experience extreme vulnerability or emotion: I break out into a clammy sweat and begin to have difficulty formulating thoughts and moving my mouth to utter them !) There are other students in the class, at least nine or ten, but you feel you are having a one-on-one with her, in a space she quickly establishes as safe through her firm control of the class in a two-hour-plus non-stop, vigorous interaction with each one of us. Very little escapes her notice. Oh, and she has a wicked wit and sense of humor–ok, maybe the wrong word for a reverend, but she is very, very smart and funny–and compassionate. Can’t wait for the next class!”

“In June of 2020, my book about a long-distance horseback trip I dreamed of taking since I was eight years old, The Big Quiet—One Woman’s Horseback Ride Home was published by Meadowlark Books, Emporia, Kansas. Publishing such a book was my other childhood dream. I now am shifting away from corporate writing to more of the writing I love, and I am working to find and market on my website products that are beautiful and can uplift my fellow human beings.
